Writings of Rabindra Nath Tagore or review of the TV series

This is a draft i wrote months ago but publishing now.. it surely needs more improvement and details and references but for now just putting it out there..

He is the writer who wrote the National Anthem of India. The one that we pay respect to our country with. The one the "anti nationals" dont want to stand up for before movie screenings. Its written in Bengali. Some controversies surrounding it have been facts like it was a political move to make it the National Anthem and not the song "Vande Matram".

Anyway the topic of my blog is not the National Anthem but the writings of Rabindra Nath Tagore ji. I have read some of it (translated in hindi) and seen some TV shows such as the one on Netflix.

He is a Nobel Prize winner and I was nothing but looking forward to the short stories written by him. However, what i have found is that many of these stories are dark and usually have a sad ending. They do not often portray the right from wrong and give proper reasoning to the character atleast so it seems in the show. Would have to read the book to understand that part truly.

Why is it that we can not once have a happy ending I wonder in books of Tagore ji? Is life really that sad? Or is it his portrayal of it? Is it the fact that he went away out of India to UK for his education at a very young age that affected his mind darkly or because he was the leader of a religious sect - strict following of religion often leading to  darkness than light? Was it because he was a western thinker/influenced by the western ideas that he received the Noble laureate and not other probably more deserving writers in India at that time?

This needs to be looked into. Given the current change in political scenario, opening of eyes of hindus of India towards reality of Congress, M.K.Gandhi, Nehru and Gandhian family, Bollywood and the pseudo secularism prevalent in our country, maybe we need to reevaluate all social and cultural phenomenas the good and bad sides of it which were from the 90s.

Why am i not surprised given all above facts that M.K. Gandhi was his close friend, infact he inferred the absolutely undeserved title of "Mahatma" on Mr. Gandhi. I think given the new information about Gandhi that has come into light (refer to an article about Gandhi) its important to reevaluate any close associate of his with true Hindu eyes.

Is this why Bengal is so highly misguided under the rule of Mamta Banerjee at this point?? Why are they running towards Islam? The Hindu Muslim unity portrayed by the state of Bengal during freedom fight, was it a Government scam to fool the Hindus once again?! Was their any real truth to it? Can Hindu Muslims really be united on a larger front as long as there are Imams declaring fatwas and promoting hate speech against other religions in this country? Is it right to keep tolerating such acts in the name of secularism and in name of minority? Who were the people who propogated such ideas and who supported them? Lets look into this. With eyes of justice and humanity and well basic logic.
